Strength and Honor

Strength And Honor  The Honolulu Star-Bulletin special, 6/21/00, detailing the Japanese-American 100th Battalion and 442nd Regimental Infantry Team and the award of the Medal of Honor to Senator Dan Inouye. Contains a wonderful summary of the units, campaigns, and the eight men who were awarded the Medal of Honor in Washington D.C.

Go For Broke, a condensed version of Senator Daniel Inouye's Book "Journey to Washington", is a riveting story which gives us insight into the Japanese Immigrants and their Nisei children when war broke out in 1941. Interestingly, Senator Inouye's father came from Fukuoka, very close to the home of Kyutaro Nishimuta.
